Festival de Mariachi en La Isla returns for the 3rd year
April 7, 2023
The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Performing Arts Centers is hosting its third annual Festival de Mariachi.
This festival runs for four days from April 13-16 and is expected to have many activities for students and the local community to enjoy. The festival kicks off at 7 p.m. with a free screening of “Canciones de mi Padre”, a 1989 PBS best performance of Linda Ronstadt.
Throughout the festival, attendees can shop around with vendors, take part in crafts led by local artists and enjoy Mariachi groups ranging from local schools to well-known groups.
Don’t miss out on all the fun and bring the whole family to celebrate the end of the festival at the Mariachi Mass, which will take place at the Corpus Cathedral on Sunday, April 16 at 11 a.m.

Hello, and thank you for commenting! The only off-campus event is the Mariachi service which will occur at Corpus Christi Cathedral. All of the other events will be on campus. The workshops that are hosted on the campus, however, will only be available to the students performing for those days while the other events will be open to students, faculty, staff, and Corpus Christi citizens alike. There is a fee for the performances on Friday, April 14, 2023, and those on Saturday, April 15, 2023. If you have any further inquiries about the Festival de Mariachi, you may continue to post them in the form of comments on this article. – Island Waves
