Saturday, April 1, Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi held their Islander Ring Ceremony for the Spring of 2023 in the Performing Arts Center, with the first ceremony being held at 10:00 a.m. and the second being held at 1:00 p.m.

The TAMU-CC Islander Ring Ceremony is a 20 year-old tradition held at the island university where family, friends, and alumni come together to support Islanders who have made it to their junior year and are eligible to receive their class rings.

According to islanderalumni.org, “Ceremony participants will receive their ring in a beautiful keepsake box that contains a single sand dollar, an exclusive for ceremony participants”. Afterwards, the students will take part in the Islander Ring Wish, where they will take their sand dollar and toss it into the Lee Plaza Fountain.

To receive your Islander Ring, you must classify as a junior or have 75 or more completed credit hours. However, transfer students are required to have at least 25 credit hours at TAMU-CC, or if you are a graduate of TAMU-CC and now have the funds to order a class ring, you can still do so. If you meet these qualifications and would like to order your Islander Ring, check out islanderalumni.org.
