Realms Con will be celebrating its 14th annual celebration of gaming, anime, movies and more at the Omni Hotel, Sept. 28-30, 2018. This year’s events include celebrity meet and greets, gaming tournaments, music performances, dance classes, a themed ball, raves and more.

14 years ago, Realms Con began at the Emerald Beach hotel downtown as a small anime/gaming convention in Corpus Christi. It has now become the largest gathering in the Coastal Bend area for sci-fi fans, anime fans, gamers and many more. This year, the Realms Con Outdoor Annex has been incorporated next to the Omni Hotel which will be free to the public. This addition includes food trucks, a mini artist alley, stage entertainment and more.

Although part of the event is free to the public, you will need a Realms Con badge to access the artist alley, celebrity panels, gaming room, main events and other areas at Realms Con.

“We really want to emphasize visitors to stop by the artist alley and support local talent,” says Sophomore Marketing major Michelle Blake. ”I’m one half of RizusCreation, we have a table every year at Realms Con and sell handmade keychains, stickers, jewelry and other accessories. We’re expecting a really good turn out this year.”

The price of admission for the event is $60 for a three-day pass, $40 for Friday and Saturday passes, and $20 dollars for a Sunday pass, cash only. Children 10 and under are free with a paid guardian. For more information of passes, schedules and events, visit,
