Whew. Girl. I honestly don’t know who really thought this relationship was going to last. It’s sad to see Ariana Grande go through so much and just when she’s finding a little bit of happiness, it can suddenly be taken away from her.

Ariana Grande has been climbing her way to complete stardom ever since her role in “Victorious,” because let’s be honest: Who really watched it for Victoria Justice when you had Ariana Grande belting out Mariah Carey whistle notes on the side?

Since the show, she’s made incredible albums, even giving Mariah Carey a run for her money when Grande came out with a Christmas album. However, Grande has been through more hardships than happy times.

Ariana Grande has been through a terrorist attack at one of her shows in Manchester back in May 2017, got out of a long relationship with rapper Mac Miller (who has struggled with addiction almost his whole life), immediately got into a relationship with “SNL” star and comedian Pete Davidson, was inappropriately handled by the pastor who ran Aretha Franklin’s funeral, and was quickly engaged to Davidson until the sudden and saddening death of Mac Miller.

Side note: It seriously bothered me when the reports of Miller’s death started being released, referring to him as “Ariana Grande’s ex-boyfriend.” Mac Miller was an incredibly talented writer and rapper, producing music for amazing artists like SZA, Ab-Soul and many others while also giving his fans multiple albums. He was way more than “Ariana Grande’s ex.” To limit him only to that title was almost insulting.

Back to Grande and Davidson’s relationship, the two became a couple in June of this year. Since then, the couple had gotten five — yes, five tattoos together — and became engaged only after a month of dating. Like seriously, who thought this was a healthy relationship? The two moved faster than Farrah Abraham’s 15 minutes of fame.

All I’m saying is that now that Grande and Davidson are broken up, and their families can sigh with relief, I just hope they can take some time to reflect on more important things. Like maybe their mental health, for one, considering everything Grande has gone through
