Islander men’s basketball play Bearkats in a close game

The Islander men’s basketball team faced off against Southland conference leader, Sam Houston State University, on Wednesday, Feb. 13. The game ended with a close score, but the Bearkats took home the win with 70–69.

Photo by Benji McDaniel. A few other players nearly passed the double-digit barrier, with junior Kareem South (number 11) scoring nine points and junior Tony Lewis (number 35) and sophomore Tre Gray (number 21) both scoring eight points.


The Islanders will now hit the road as they go to their next games in New Orleans on Saturday, Feb. 16, and Nacogdoches on Wednesday, Feb. 20.
