Billie Eilish album review: she might be the ‘Bad Guy’ but she’s not a bad artist
April 9, 2019
As many of you all know, Billie Eilish released her debut album “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” on March 29. It was a long-awaited and anticipated album drop, though she tried to keep fans satisfied with singles such as “Bury a Friend” and “Wish You Were Gay.”
Eilish did not disappoint. This album is everything hinted at in her released singles.
Each song has an eerie story told by a very melodic voice. Within every track, you can distinctly hear the quirkiness of Eilish. For example, the first track includes the sound of her removing her Invisalign at the start of recording the album. In another track, “My Strange Addiction,” it includes various samples from the TV show “The Office.”
Needless to say, this album will be popular for a while and is well worth the listen. Currently, 6 of her tracks from the new album are on Spotify’s top 50 streamed songs around the world. So, turn up your bass and give any of her songs a listen.
