Gabriella Ruiz is a junior Media Arts major with a focus in Media Studies and a minor in Digital Journalism. She has been working with Island Waves since her freshman year and has been able to take on internships with Dow Jones News Fund and the Pleasanton Express while gaining experience to bring to the newsroom at school. In Gabriella’s spare time she enjoys doing her makeup, spending time with family and friends, and playing sports.
